Wheeler)   This course identifies methods and approaches to Bible study that can lead to spiritual growth and Christian maturity.  Areas that will be covered include the structure of the Bible, resources for personal study, and other subjects that will add meaning to the reading of the Bible.

 

The Doctrine of God (Rev. Keith W. Byrd, Sr.)   This study of God allows students to look at God, the “First Person of the Trinity,” as God the Creator and Father of mankind who sustains us.  As a result of the study, the students should become more deeply rooted in the true and living God.

The History of Christianity (Rev. George A. Martin)   This course will outline the development of the Christian movement from the beginning of Jesus’ ministry on earth to the present time.  Students will focus on the culture and times that enabled Christianity to grow.  Prominent persons who impacted the Christian movement will be identified.

Introduction to the Old Testament (Rev. Aubrey C. Lewis)   This course will survey the Old Testament and will include a general overview of the divisions, time periods, places, events, people, and archaeology of the Old Testament.

Brantley)   Through this exciting story and living illustration of the unseen hand of God’s providence, students will explore how God used the heroine of the book to overcome impossible circumstances to accomplish His gracious purposes.  Students will learn principles that are as relevant today as they were in Queen Esther’s time.

Introduction to the New Testament (Rev. Dr. John T. Rhodes)   This course seeks to lead students to an understanding of the divinity of Christ and an appreciation of the miracles of Christ.

Galatians (Rev. Dr. Morris Shearin)   This course is an overview of Galatians.  It will lead students to a greater appreciation of the teaching of God’s Word and give understanding to life in the light of such study.

The objective of this course is to explore the various dimensions of trouble as defined in the book of James and the purpose and practical role of trouble as a tool to promote spiritual maturity.

Messianic Prophecy (Dr. Marcus Turner)   This course discusses Old Testament passages relative to the advent of Jesus Christ into human history.  Through Scriptures that foreshadow Jesus in the Old Testament, students will come to see the Jesus of the whole Bible.

Rogers)   This class is intended to challenge teens to move into emotional maturity as they move into physically maturity by exposing them to life concepts which will help to distinguish them as more than just another guy or girl on the block but a cut above the others. The Struggle of and for African American Men (Dr. John L. McCoy)  This course focuses on the very real issues of African-American men.  It is designed to reclaim Black men for God and their families without defaming African-American women.

Love Does Not Scar (Dr. Phyllis J. Mayo) This course is designed to look at the different forms of domestic violence – physical, psychological, etc., examine the motivation of both the abuser and the victim, and recognize that even in times of abuse God has not abandoned us.
